Quality Control System In A Knit Composite Mill

Quality Control System

The Quality control department runs under the direction of a quality assurance manager (in most cases). The quality of a product is checked in the different manufacturing stages of a product. During quality assurance, they follow the different international quality standards. Q.C department also takes help from CCMS for measuring the quality of a textile material.

Here, I have given a flow chart of quality assurance diagrams from spinning to garments. I think most textile manufacturing companies follow it. The following is the flow chart of the quality control system of a knit composite mill. They are-

Description of Quality Assurance System in Knit composite Mill

A knit composite knitting mill is consist of spinning, knitting, and dyeing section. However, a different quality check is performed in the various stages of manufacturing. They are as follows:

Spinning Section:

The spinning section is the first section of the knit compost mill. Basically, a different count of yarn is produced in the spinning section and a yarn test is carried out to ensure the yarn count. If the yarn passes the yarn test it delivers to the knitting section but if it does not pass the yarn test it sends to the spinning mill.

Knitting Section:

Knitting is the fabric manufacturing method. After the knitting process, grey knit fabric is taken for inspection, if this fabric passes the quality check it sends to the dyeing section but if it does not pass the quality test it sends to the store as a reject.

Dyeing Section:

Dyeing is the coloration process of knitted fabrics. However, a different quality check is done on the dyeing floor. Additionally, shade checking is the main quality check on the dyeing floor. If the dyed fabrics pass the quality check it sends it to the next process but if it does not pass the quality check it sends it to the store as a reject.

In sum, the quality control department plays an important role in the composite mill t ensure the quality of the products.
