What is the meaning of apparel?
The fabric which we wear, that’s name varies according to the country. In the USA, the finished fabric is called Apparel or Ready Made Garment (RMG), in the UK It is called garment and in Germany, it is called clothing. These three names are generally used for fabric trading and are internationally recognized. Most of the countries of the world follow these three terms but in sub-continent people is more popular with the name garment than other names.
Apparel Types
Two systems are used to make apparel. They are-
- Bespoke Garment: Bespoke garment is a tailoring system to make apparel. It is an individual choice garment. The design and materials of the garment is chosen by the client.
- Ready To Wear garment: This type of garment is make industrially. There have no individual choice of garment in the ready to wear garment system.
Difference Between Bespoke Garment and Ready to Wear Garment
The following are differences between the bespoke garment and the ready-to-wear garment. They are-

7. Garment is produced by individual Material and design. | 7. All the garment in a lot has the same material and design. |
8. Generally it is done for local people’s purposes. | 8. Most of the time, it is done for exporting purposes. |
