Comparison Between Sectional Warping And High-Speed Warping

Warping

Warping is important for the weaving process. This process has mainly two types, as follows:

  1. Sectional warping or pattern warping.
  2. High-speed warping, beam warping, or direct warping.

These two processes have lots of features. It is important to know the advantages and disadvantages of the two types. If we have an idea about the difference between sectional warping and direct warping, then it will be very easy to choose the easiest one for the application. For this reason, I would like to present the comparison between sectional warping and high-speed warping.

Comparison Between Sectional Warping And High-Speed Warping

The following are the differences between sectional warping and high-speed warping. They are-

Sectional WarpingHigh-Speed Warping
To produce striped fabric. To produce common fabric in large quantities (grey fabric).
Lower production speed. Production speed is high.
To produce a warp beam from a small amount of warp yarn.To produce a warp beam from a large amount of warp yarn.
Lower creel capacity. Creel capacity is high.
Weavers beam can be found immediately after sectional warping.Weavers beam is produced after sizing.
A lower length of warp sheet is produced. A higher length of warp sheet is produced.
The flanged bobbin is used. Cone or cheese bobbin is used.
Fly or twisted yarn is used. Single yarn is used.
Two stages are involved. One stage is involved.
Sectional warping is expensive. High speed is less expensive than sectional warping.
The uniform tension of each yarn can not be maintained. Uniform tension of the yarn is obtained.
Mostly used for processed silk and man-made fibers. Cotton, linen, worsted, and woolen yarns are processed by this process.
Comparatively less used process. High-speed warping is more popular and widely used than sectional warping.

So, there are lots of differences between sectional warping and high-speed warping.
